Both the Golden Phoenix and the StiB were awarded to Rotterdam Centraal District on Wednesday, 4th of June. The jury of the Golden Phoenix praised the way in which Rotterdam Centraal "has effectively cut the Gordian knot of travel, traffic and public transport". -

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander officially opened the new Rotterdam Centraal Station on Thursday 13th March. During his tour through the station the king was addressed by Team CS. Mayor Aboutaleb, Marion Gout – van Sinderen (CEO of Prorail), Secretary of State Wilma Mansveld, Boukje Bügel (CEO retail & transfer NS) and alderman of the City of Rotterdam Jeanette Baljeu also accompanied his Majesty on his tour.
