West 8 Urban Design and Landscape Architecture

For the new suburb of Buona Vista, West 8 created a park design, the first part of which has been completed. The master plan by Zaha Hadid defines a long, meandering open space in this area. The park, with its dramatic topography and exciting sight-lines, provides a shady place for a leisurely stroll. It contains a large collection of tropical plants and trees. The climax is formed by a remarkable water attraction: a stream that flows uphill.
